two more palettes for the year — a review
Date: 14 July 2011 Comment: 0
I haven’t anything -related recently so for my first post for the year, here’s a review of two new I got last year, a month (I think) before my holiday break.

The new ones are the concealer palette (center) and the 26-pc neutral palette (rightmost). For the review of the 88 regular eyeshadow palette, click here. I love the 88 palette so I decided to get the 15-pc concealer palette since I needed a concealer palette anyway.

Ready for the pictures? Wahahaha :P

These pics are with concealer on my under eye and blemishes. I forgot the before pics or I accidentally deleted them when I was cleaning up my Pictures folder. It’s an okay concealer for under eye circles and for . I bought it because of the shade range, which is amazing in a mini-palette — I can take it with me whenever I , by the way. :D

the size of 25 centavo coin in the picture is ~ the same size as the US 1 cent coin

the size of the coin above is equal to the size of a US dollar coin

It’ll take me forever to hit the pans of these products — I’m sure. Especially now that I just can’t stop shopping for more and more stuff.

Oh there’s a New Year’s resolution! :D I will not shop for anything that is unnecessary to me (unnecessary would mean stuff I alrealy have). I will have to have 5 reasons before purchasing a product (I chose 5 coz it’s my favorite number :P ).

I shall start accumulating my New Year’s resolutions and listing them on one of my sidebars — yes, with an S – coz I think it’s necessary for a better me, haha.  :D

In the 26-pc palette, I find it cute and funny that the palette has matching eyeshadow and blush — they come in the exact same color and probably the same components too.  :D
It was hard for me to control the amount of blush at first try. I should have swatched it on my hand before applying it on my face. In the first picture of the eye pics above, you’ll see the really peeping in the picture. Some of the blushes are intense while some were really sheer (is that the word for it?).

The eyeshadows lacked the color of highlight I wanted so I used the highlight shade of the blushes.

The palette’s really purrty huh? :D I actually won this 26-pc palette from M.O.I. Cosmetics but for the 15-pc concealer palette, I bought it for 750php.
Thank you thank you thank you Allie!  :D

All the palettes above are from My Own Identity Cosmetics. To see what products are available, click here.

Overall, I’m happy with these palettes. :)

Did I just turn 20?

At this very moment, 20 years ago, I was born.
(… that was kinda dramatic :P )

Anyways…

I didn’t actually feel like it was my birthday today. I woke up with a very bad abdominal cramp and worrying that I haven’t studied well for my ‘human parasites’ exam (I fell asleep on my books without reading them) due to being tired the previous night studying for the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT).

Bingo~! ?
I was sooooooooooooo stressed… but oh well. :)

After all my classes for the day, I went to the mall with two of my friends and we ate cheesecake (my fave~!) at Cheesecake Melliza,

fries and some wrapped junk food (just this once, we deserve the break, :D ) while going around window shopping (kind of, hahaha). I bought one thing~! A pouch of some sort which I’ll be needing for my travels :) I bought food too, which I planned to eat while typing this but…

I just came from dinner with my mami (she traveled 7 hours from home to celebrate my birthday with me since mi papito and my were busy with work and school), aunt and (I’ve been living with them since I came to the — Manila – for   :D ). We went to this famous Thai restaurant called Som’s . They serve authentic Thai food (the owner is Thai that’s why I think the food’s authentic, :P ).

We’re sooooooo full — I’ll show you why!

chicken wrapped in pandan leaves

shrimp fried rice

chicken red curry

chicken satay

milk tea

Are you drooling yet?
Our orders are kind of chicken-y but ’twas all good! :D

After that, we drove to a cake shop — Red Ribbon — to buy a cake, doi! :P

!
(marshmallow, graham, chocolate… *sigh*)

After all that, I just had to ignore the foodstuffs I bought before dinner, hahaha.

Good night!

End of the Year
Date: 12 July 2011 Comment: 0
It has been quite a year.

Even in a of a year, a lot about me changed and I can only what comes into mind as I’m writing this:

my hair (it’s straight now, :P ) — , it’s really the first thing that came to mind

my clothes&;– I’ve lost some weight so I had to get rid of some of my clothes

my account is suffering – too much before the end of the year caused this

aside from the , there are also stuff at the other side of the :

family – though I am living away from home for school, I noticed that my siblings and I have grown closer and I have watched them mature and grow physically; my parents are still around to watch us grow and hopefully witness us be like them (if not better); I thank for giving me a family that I belong to.

friends – being away from my friends made me realize how much they mean to me; though I do not express it easily, I am very thankful to have met them and I hope that bonds formed will be immortalized by time

independence – I didn’t think that I’d be more independent than I was a few years ago when I left home to study somewhere else.

responsibility – a product of independence.

intellectual capacity – though this is ‘theoretically’ infinite, learning more (academic) makes it larger than it was before

 – I cannot explain my views in this post alone but I know that my perspective of have changed dramatically

I thank everyone who shared this wonderful year with me.

Most of all, I thank God for giving me another year to enjoy life.

Hoping we all start 2010 right,
